Concerning the Holy Scriptures …
We believe the holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inerrant, inspired and infallible Word of God. God’s Word is the final authority for all maters of faith and life. (John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
Concerning the Holy Trinity …
We believe there is only one God and He has chosen to reveal Himself in three persons God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:1-2)
Concerning the origin of sin …
We believe man was created in the image of God and the sin of the first man, Adam, marred that image, creating division between God and man. Every person is born in sin. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:1-21)
Concerning Jesus …
We believe the only way a person can have a true, forgiven relationship with God is through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus became man without ceasing to be God. Our right standing with God is made sure because of Jesus’ literal and physical resurrection. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19; Romans 5:10; Matthew 1:18-25; Philippians 2:5-8; 1 Peter 1:3)
Concerning the second coming …
We believe in the literal, physical return of Christ to judge the living & the dead. (Matthew 16:27; John 14:1-3; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 22:12; Revelation 22:20)
Concerning Salvation …
We believe God offers eternal life as a free and permanent gift and that it must be received through faith alone in Christ alone by God’s grace alone. (John 3:16-18; Romans 6:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; Hebrews 9:27-28)
Concerning the Church …
We believe the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a body of believers on mission to make disciples. The local church is autonomous, free of any external authority of control. (Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 1:18)
Concerning the ordinances …
We believe believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances of the church. (Acts 2:41-42; Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25)
